Magnetic Flux Concentrators

To create efficient induction coil design different grades of material are used which cover the most commonly used frequencies in the induction hardening industry. We offer comprehensive advice in these applications and also in using them in coil designs.
Coil Design
We have many years experience in coil design, using all the grades listed below therefore can advice which would be the most suitable in any particular application.
All the grades are easily worked with hand or machine tools, however it is important not to overheat or mechanically stress the material. We can assist in making the right choice of intensification and incorporating it into your coil designs.
*Note options in ‘mould and bake’ form are now also available.

- Fluxtrol ‘A’ is used from 1khz to about 50khz. (3khz / 30khz mainly) and Fluxtrol 100 is now replacing it.
- Fluxtrol 50 is for higher frequencies (10khz / 1000khz).
- Ferrotron 559 is also used from 10khz but up to 3Mhz. (50khz / 500khz mainly).
- Fluxtrol LRM is a product designed to replace traditional iron laminations in coil design.
