Induction Hardening

Induction Hardening

Induction heat treatment

Induction hardening is a process for selectively hardening metal. By hardening the metal there is an improved performance for strength and wear resistance. The product will be stronger and is less likely to distort its shape, therefore making the product last longer and more cost effective too.

We use Induction Generators which range from medium to high frequency and powers levels up to 100 KW.

Our equipment rotates and also scans vertically  with PLC control with a number of heat zones such as ‘single shot’ which is then followed by a flood or drop quench system.  Rotation is essential for even  and equal heat distribution,  this enables a wide range of heating applications to be undertaken.  We also have metallurgical sectioning ability which is able to test accurately hardened depths and extents.
